Andrew Higginson started his career in FMCG with Unilever and Guinness. For the last 33 years, he has served on a variety of Boards both as an Executive Director, including Laura Ashley, The Burton Group and, for 15 years, on the Board of Tesco plc. Since retiring from Executive life, he has Chaired NBrown plc, Poundland (through its successful IPO), Morrisons for 7 years (including its turnaround and eventual sale to CD&R), and now as Chair of JD Sports. Having previously Chaired the IGD Policy Committee, this month (September 2023) Andrew also became Chair of the British Retail Consortium.
